Welcome to Montowese Elementary School!
Montowese Elementary School is strongly committed to providing a quality educational experience for all children. As a school community, we strongly believe that all of our children enter our school with the ability to learn. More importantly, we recognize that all of our children learn and develop at different rates and in different ways. We acknowledge their unique needs, interests, strengths, weaknesses, backgrounds, learning styles and range of scholastic and creative abilities. Moreover, we are committed to motivating all students towards being independent thinkers and fostering and supporting the skills to be successful throughout their lives. We provide a safe, supportive and positive environment that encourages children to engage in their learning by thinking, discussing, investigating, and creating.
We look forward to collaborating with our families to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We value that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both home and school. A positive and strong partnership with our families makes a great difference in every child’s education. Therefore, as partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s successes. Below are some suggestions on how families can guide and support their child’s learning at home.
- Attend school daily and arrive on time, ready for the day’s learning experience.
- Read daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills.
- Complete and review assigned homework in a quiet space.
- Practice math skills through daily life activities.
