Welcome to the Math Lab!

My name is Gretchen Cahill. I am the K-5 Math Coach a Montowese School.

 

The purpose of the math coach is to facilitate both student and teacher learning in the area of mathematics based on the Common Core State Standards. My role is facilitate teaching and learning for both students and teachers. I work with teachers on their delivery of tier 1 and tier 2 instruction with the entire class or small group instruction within the classroom. I also take small intervention groups in order the fill gaps in mathematical understanding.

 

It is my mission to make students learn to enjoy math and challenge them to make sense of problems and encourage them to persevere in solving them.
